NYDT News

As NYDT approaches its 32nd year in 2012, the NYDT board wishes to share wonderful news.
We are pleased to announce our new Artistic Director, James W. Guido. He has seven years of rich experience in acting and directing plays. With a bachelor’s degree in film and theater and a minor in theatre arts, Guido was involved with several productions in Rochester, New York. Last year, in addition to serving as ASL coach, he played several characters in our popular fall production, "Save the Human". He is enthusiastic and passionate about making NYDT the best it can be. We look forward to working closely with him.

NYDT is planning an exciting 2012- 2013 season which includes a "Sweetheart Gala" in February or March to generate funds to help NYDT reach its full potential, a Spring Showcase that will take place over five weekends in April and May and feature different themes, and a fall theatrical production. More details will follow.

Since 1980, NYDT has been the only theatre in New York City that provides entertainment for both Deaf and Hearing audiences. We encourage your support of NYDT through your donations and more importantly, your participation as an audience member for our productions and workshops. NYDT wishes you a happy, healthy, warm and prosperous new year!

Sincerely,
Dorothy Cohler
